Computers for Enhanced Education (CEE) is a non-governmental organisation that works to support Malawian schools to provide quality ICT education with quality ICT equipment. In doing so we provide teacher training in digital literacy to ensure schools and can provide the maximum learning opportunities for students. This NGO builds upon the work of The Turing Trust in Malawi to expand these programmes nationally and provide a solution for schools to be provisioned with ICT equipment in the long-term.
Job Purpose
The Marketing Officer will work in close collaboration with the Finance and Administration Manager. He/she will be responsible for managing the assigned schools, marketing the project to schools, support to the technician/schools and teacher training, M&E and any other duties.
Duties:
Contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies
Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise CEE’s program awareness
Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for the program on a variety of media (social media etc.)
Liaise with stakeholders to promote success of activities and enhance the organisation’s presence
Manage schools contracts i.e. Contracts, maintenance payment follow ups and re-signing of contracts
Update the tracker i.e. schools details, payments etc
Provide support where necessary in installing Computers, LAN and educational resources in schools i.e. setting up and configure hardware, software and drivers in allocated schools ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating correctly
Gathering case stories and articles from Lilongwe office for the website and social media handles
Plan and conduct teacher training.
Conduct M&E and analyzing the data before sharing with partners and filing
Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Education qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business Management/ICT and any relevant experience
Experience and skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Marketing/project management
Experience working with rural schools and communities;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking and inter-cultural skills;
Ability to develop innovative approaches to development problems, to use computers both word processing and spreadsheet
Ability to conduct capacity building 1-1 or through workshops.
